My expertise
- Introduced to deep water drilling in 1979 while assigned to the Sedco 709 offshore Canada!
- Worked on “DP semi-Submersibles” and “DP drill ships “ world wide!.
- Involved in most aspects of drilling and completions working in Ultra deep water! (mostly offshore Brazil in the Campos Basin)
- Involved in the building and commissioning of the Pride Brazil, a 5th generation DP semi-Sub for Pride International offshore Brazil as a Drilling Supt.
- Helped implement the “ISM” code on “MV Pride Brazil”
- Involved in the building and commissioning of the Pride Portland and Pride Rio de Janeiro, Amethyst class DP 5th generation Semi-Subs.
- The conversion and commissioning of the Sedco 707 from an anchor to a fully operational “DP” semi-sub.
- Revamp the “DP” drill ship “Sedco 471” in Mobile, Alabama, commission and start her contract for Petrobras (1985)
- Manage four deepwater “DP” vessels from shore base as safety and operations coordinator.
- Wrote many operational procedures for offshore deep water operations!
- Wrote many oil field drilling spread sheets.
- Excellent computer skills, writing many different oil field programs, using different operating systems.
